This is just a bookplate for my notebook... Hence the jokey Ex Libras- From the Library of and my initials.
Original size of each page is A5 about 148 × 210mm.
This is just pen work and I was trying out the Artists PITT pens from Faber.
Post Tenebras Lux means After Darkness Light.
The snow-globe is representative of a frozen, confining life, the tree is breaking loose from it, roots the very life of the tree tumbling out, its a symbol of hope, and at the bottom of the snow-globe is the Latin phrase Dum Spiro Spero- While I breath I hope.
Abyssus Abyssum Invocat means The Deep Calleth Unto The Deep from Ps. 41:8 and no it does not mean hell calls to hell.
In English the psalm reads: Deep calls to deep in the voice of your waterfalls; all your whirlpools and waves have passed over me.
The symbol of hope and wisdom a candle reflects the tree; books and everything else are rather obvious symbols.
Think the page with an X is easy to figure out P-I-X-I-N-I

Holy Moley! This has got some crazy detail going on :faint: Really fab stuff! It reminds me of something you'd find in a gothic graphic novel :D Me likey :ahoy:

yeah I've been in hiding, quietly drawing for months... I've done 300+ drawings so far... Seems like everybody has taken a time out.... :shrug:

I LOVE IT SO MUCH OHMYGOSH! And this scan is fabulous. This is 20 times more epic than any of the versions I saw.
